New Site ~ DOTSHOP by LaundryMagazine

I was excited today when I saw on Twitter that LaundryMagazine launched their new website concept called DOTSHOP. DOTSHOP supports the work of emerging designers from Chicago and the surrounding area.

Here’s a little background on what DOTSHOP is.

Each month, DOTSHOP will feature three (3) limited-edition pieces from local Chicago designers. The piece may be designed exclusively for Dotshop or chosen from a designer’s collection. You can purchase the piece online as well as read profiles on each designer and view a photo shoot featuring the items available that month. Another unique things about this website is that item are chosen so they can be purchased together to create a full outfit.

LaundryMagazine also said that coming soon, Dotshop will feature guest curators and unique product collaborations. They are also giving back too! A portion of the proceeds from each Dotshop sale will support LaundryMagazine’s New Designer scholarship fund.

There are so many new site that feature different monthly products like Kate Bosworth’s JewelMint and Jessica Simpson’s newly launched sited beautymint. But I think this site offers so much more.

I like that it’s not a membership site, so you can shop whenever you want and this is such a brilliant platform for emerging designers. I feel it’s really important to support local designers and if you like their style or items, to help promote them too. I hope that you all take a peek at LaundryMagazine’s new website to see which designers they are featuring this month.
