Are Brooches Coming Back?

Every time I think of the word brooch, I think of my Nanny (Grandma). When she was younger she would often wear brooches with her pencil skirts and blouses, and I always noticed even years later that she had a beautiful brooch on her winter coat.

I have a few brooches that she has given me that just sit in my jewelry box but now it seems like brooches are starting to become popular again. I’ve only worn a brooch a number of times. One time I can remember was when my Nanny used a gorgeous swarovski diamond star brooch to pin on a headband during a school play when I was about 5. This is one of the brooches I still have in my jewelry box.

I think it’s time that I try one. Brooches can be a great accessory to use to accessorize your winter hat, coat, blazer, dress, or even one of your favorite wraps.
