All About the Pleated Skirts
Over the summer, Kate Middleton was photographed wearing a gorgeous cream pleated skirt on her trip to the United States (which sold out right after her photos wear released). Since then pleated skirts have become really popular again. I’m such a fan of 50′s style clothing so I’m really loving that pleated skirts are back. It’s a great staple piece to add to your wardrobe.
One of the best things about a great pleated skirt it that you can wear them in the spring/summer and right into the fall/winter seasons. Don’t you love when you can mix and match pieces all year long!? I’ve talked before about adding a pop of color to your winter wardrobe and the pleated skirt is a great way to do this. You can easily add a black sweater or top to a pleated skirt of any color to give yourself a whole new (brighter) look.

Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift was photographed this fall wearing a yellow pleated skirt with a black sweater. By adding a pair of tights and a pair of heels or booties you can continue to wear the same look during the winter. Or wear a black pleated skirt with a bright colored top. I think a bright pleated skirt can also be a great look for all your holiday events.
Take a look at some of the pleated skirts I’ve found.
Which pleated skirt is your fave? I love the H&M pleated skirt. It comes in the pink or grey and being only $12.95, it’s an amazing deal. Thanks to Alessia Maniaci because I saw it first on her blog! What a great find!
A little something extra: This feather clutch is a perfect touch to add to your pleated skirt look.

FOR most women, pleated skirts have thoroughly nasty connotations. They bring back painful memories of the box pleat school pinafore and the tennis skirt that was so short your regulation navy blue knickers were permanently on show. Box pleats, you see, do not suit everyone.
