Topshop Coming to Chicago

This week Topshop announced that they were opening their second location in the US right here in Chicago on the “High Street” Michigan Avenue this Spring.

British businessman and store owner of Topshop Sir Philip Green says, “we like big cities, big corners, big billboard shop frontage — and we like to be on the high street. “The location really appeals to us.”

Since the success of the New York flagship store 2 years ago, Topshop decided that Chicago would be the perfect place for their second flagship store.

I think Topshop coming to Chicago is going to be great addition to this city. Topshop is dear to my heart since I was born in London and I have been shopping there since I was a little girl and even my Mum used to shop there when we were living in London. I really am excited about Topshop’s decision to open in Chicago.

Borders on Michigan Avenue will be closing their doors after 16 years in this location in January due to the buy out of their lease by the British chain Topshop.
