My Most Memorable Posts From 2011

Dec 29, 2011

It was really hard to choose to my favorite posts from 2011 because I always work really hard to bring you all the best styles and I always keep an affordable clothing budget in mind as I write each post. So, I decided to share with you my most memorable post from 2011.

As you will read through each one you will see why these posts mean so much to me.

1. Favorite Moments from The Royal Wedding

It really meant a lot to me that I got to watch The Royal Wedding at home with my Mum. Being born in England, it’s important to me to be apart of British history and remember where I was on April 29th, 2011. It also meant a lot to my Mum as well because my Mum has just found out she was pregnant with me and so what a memory to be able to watch Diana’s son get married with her daughter.

2. My Event at The Drake to Support Multiple Sclerosis

Last May I planned and hosted an event at The Drake Hotel to raise awareness and raise money for Multiple Sclerosis. My Mum was diagnosed with MS in 2007 and since then I try to do what I can to teach others about the effects of this disease and to do what I can to raise money for better treatments, and hopefully one day a cure. This night meant so much to me and I was really surprised by the number of people who came to support. It was a very memorable evening.

3. Denise Richards ~ “The Real Girl Next Door”

Over the summer I read Denise Richards book The Real Girl Next Door. She’s one of my favorite celebrities and her book was a really great read and very inspirations as well. Denise is really open, honest, and real which is one of the things I really like about her. This post was one of my favorites because I was really excited when Denise tweeted me back not once, but twice! She also tweeted me again when I wrote this post about her a few weeks ago.

4. My Interview with the Fab Robert Verdi at The Special K Event

This was one of my most memorable post of this year simply because interviewing Robert Verdi was just so much fun. He’s full of spark and makes you think that you’ve know him forever. We had a great chat rather than an interview. So, if you haven’t read it yet make sure you do.

5. Impressionism, Fashion, and Modernity at The Shops at North Bridge

The week of FNO I attended a very different type of fashion show at The Shops at North Bridge. Impressionism is one of my favorite art periods and I was very interested to find out how they incorporated fashion. This was a special preview of what we will be able to see at The Art Institute June 30–September 22, 2013.

6. My Interview with Jewelry Designer Freida Rothman of Belargo Jewelry

This year I was very lucky to do a few great interviews and Belargo Jewelry was no exception. I found Belargo Jewelry while shopping online at Max & Chloe and decided the write a blog post about how much I loved this new line of jewelry. Her team actually contacted me and we did an interview. Freida was also really nice to send me a pair of gorgeous earrings from her new collection.

7. Interview with Project Accessory Designer ~ Nina Cortes

I met the lovely Nina Cortes through Twitter and we starting talking just before Project Accessory debut on Lifetime. I asked her if she would like to do an interview with me and she nicely said she would love to. I watched and tweeted with her and others during the entire season of the show and it was so much fun. It was also very exciting that Nina Cortes made it all the way to the finals. I can’t wait to see what she will do in the future.

8. Interview with Fashion Illustrator ~ Hayden Williams

Again Twitter has allowed me to meet some of the coolest people this year and another one was the very talented Hayden Williams. I was instantly a fan of his once someone retweeted one of his illustrations. After a few weeks of chatting on Twitter I asked him if I could feature him on my blog. I very excited to have met Hayden on Twitter and can’t wait for Hayden Williams, the designer.

This year has been a great year for My Posh Jeans. I’ve had the chance to do so many great things and I’m very thankful for it all. I can’t wait to see what 2012 will bring. Thank you to everyone who supports me and follows My Posh Jeans!

Happy New Year!
