Kiehl’s Since 1851 Opening at The Shops at North Bridge

Exciting news for us fans of Kiehl’s Since 1851. On November 17th Today (Nov. 16th) Kiehl’s will be opening their first Midwest flagship store at The Shops of North bridge.

This will be the second store to come to Chicago but what’s unique about this store is the space will be two-story so shoppers can discover Kiehl’s efficacious skin, hair and body care products, personalized customer service, and 160-year-old heritage in the full Kiehl’s setting. Because of the size of the store shoppers will also be able to experience Kiehl’s unique ambiance found in the company’s original location in New York’s East Village, which began as a neighborhood apothecary in 1851.

“We are extremely excited to be opening our very first Midwest Flagship store, especially as we celebrate our 160th anniversary,” said Chris Salgardo, President, Kiehl’s USA“It still astonishes me that our company has been in business, without ever closing, for 160 consecutive years, and we’re thrilled to be able to use this expansive new space to tell Kiehl’s full story like we’ve never done before.”

I think this store is going to be just stunning and an amazing shopping experience. After reading more about the new store, I’ve highlighted a few other touches that you can expect to see.

* A photo booth experience to help customers build their own version of the photo wall that’s been on display at the original New York Flagship for decades.

* Kiehl’s commitment to the environment ­with the use of natural, sustainable materials and energy-efficient light fixtures.

* 19-ft ceilings that allow graphics and iconic Kiehl’s imagery to tell the Kiehl’s story. Iconic Kiehl’s elements will loom larger than at any other previous store, from the 42” chandelier to the 19-ft. pop-art-inspired bottle graphics adorning the walls to a scale reproduction of a bi-plane.

* A 10 ft personal consultation table offering full skincare consultation by a Kiehl’s Customer Representatives to determine the formulas best suited for their personal needs.

* Men’s Destination and “Shave Bar” ~ an unintimidating space for specialized shaving and grooming education and demonstrations designed for men.
