Meet Kelly

Hi!

Fashion is a huge passion of mine. Does that mean that’s my whole life? Well, no. But I know for as long as I can remember I’ve loved fashion. I can remember when I was a little girl always wearing dresses and loving clothes, looking in my Mum’s closet at her shoes, and trying on her makeup (She caught me a few times). If I was outside playing, whether it was in the yard digging and planting flowers, on the swings, or riding my bike I was wearing a dress and cute shoes. No matter what I was doing I was happier wearing my dresses.

I was born in England and lived there until I was 7. Even though I have lived in the U.S. longer, I’m proud of being English and love to follow my English traditions. So I guess that makes me a Britican.

One of my biggest inspirations is Victoria Beckham. I’ve always thought she is so
amazing and elegant. I’ve followed her fashions since I was around 14 when my Nanny from England, sent me over the first Spice Girls C.D. with a poster of all of them. (This was before it was even released in the U.S.). I knew right away Victoria was my favorite. I just loved those little black dresses she would wear. (Just a little secret about Victoria, which she wrote about in her autobiography, those little black dresses that everyone thought were Gucci were actually not even 50 pounds!)

The old days....

In February 2008, I meet Victoria Beckham at Saks in Chicago for the launch of her jean line DVB. I bought a pair of her jeans which was my first designer purchase and how I got the name My Posh Jeans for my blog. I still have them and they’re one of my favorite pairs of jeans. Meeting her is one day I will never forget.

I decided to create this blog because I wanted share my love for fashion. I really enjoy writing and I love sharing ways to look trendy and classic without spending a lot of money but looking like you did, just like Victoria did. Something I like to call Poshonality, enjoying your own luxuries, through your style and personality.
