Adding Leather Shorts to the Wardrobe

Halfway through a season I start to get really tired of everything in my closet. That’s when I need to shop for a couple fun pieces to mix things up a bit. I could add another sweater or a bright blazer, a dress, or more scarves but I thought about trying something different. Leather shorts were a really hot trend for the fall but there’s no reason you can’t incorporate them into your wardrobe now.

Since our Chicago winter has been unseasonable mild I can simple add my favorite pair of patterned tights, my favorite sweater or blouse, and a pair of booties or heels.

Getting Glamorous with Kendra Scott Jewelry

I’ve discovered a jewelry designer that I really want to have a spring fling with this season. Are you familiar with Kendra Scott jewelry? Her Texas based company has been around for a few years but is rapidly growing with her core values of family, fashion and philanthropy surrounding her. Over the last year I’ve started to see her pieces everywhere especially in stores like Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s.

I’m loving the vintage styles with the bright colors. It’s the best combination, don’t you think? Her jewelry is great to pair with a basic tank or to really glam up your favorite cocktail dress. With so many amazing colors to choose from it’s really hard to decide which pieces to get.

The 5 Best Dressed at The 2012 SAG Awards

I unfortunately missed most of the red carpet and couldn’t tweet with you all because I was on my way back from a wonderful weekend away in Lake Geneva. But I quickly caught up on all on the glam on the red carpet and this time I simply picked my favorite five for best dressed at the SAG Awards.

Ashley Simpson ~ Jenny Packham

How shocked where you to see Ashley Simpson at the SAG Awards looking unbelievable fabulous and edgy wearing Jenny Packham? The hair, the makeup, the jewelry, everything was just perfect.

Jayma Mays ~ Reem Acra

Jayma looks breathtaking in this Reem Acra dress. I LOVE the lace back (which I’m typically not a big fan of lace) with the glam sparkle of the dress. Did you see the green eye makeup too? She was absolutely glowing.

Giuliana Rancic ~ Soda Basil

As much as I adore Guiliana Rancic I’m usually not a fan of what she wears on the red carpet, but today she was perfection. The red Soda Basil gown was a perfect choice, her hair looked amazing, and she just had a really happy vibe. Don’t you think?

Lea Michele ~ Versace

I can’t say anything else about this look, other than gorgeous and so sexy.

Stacy Keibler ~ Marchesa

Stacey looked so elegant in this Marchesa, each time I see her on the red carpet she looks more and more beautiful.

Victoria Beckham is the Cover Girl for Japanese Magazine Cover

I know I recently wrote about Victoria a few days ago but I couldn’t resist posting pics from her latest magazine debut since giving birth to Harper. She’s the March cover girl for Japan’s Numero Tokyo Magazine.

Victoria was photographed on a exotic tiger print chair wearing nothing but a black bra and underwear and a Burberry trench from the Burberry Prorsum Resort 2012 collection, her gorgeous long dark hair debuting a new look with eye-skimming bangs (which are more likely clip-ins).

Looking very much like Victoria Beckham should.

News broke yesterday that the Spice Girls might be reuniting for London’s 2012 Olympics. “Mel B. and Emma Bunton are agreeable to doing it, but the holdout seems to be Victoria Beckham. She has so much going on … and she isn’t agreeing to it – yet! Victoria has been in London lately getting ready for fashion week.

I think printed skirts will be one of the must~have trends for this spring season. The first time I really noticed this look was on one of my favorite bloggers and actress Ashley Madekwe who plays Ashley Davenport on Revenge. The printed skirt that Ashley was wearing in one of her posts a few weeks ago looked gorgeous on her. I’m not sure how I feel about this look on myself, but are you a fan of printed skirts?

Spring Must ~ Have: M2F Brand Denims

Maybe some of you have noticed my absence from Twitter lately but it’s for a good reason, I assure you. As much as I miss tweeting with you all throughout the day I’m excited to announced that I’m now working for a great company called M2F (Made2Fade) Brand Denims. I’m thrilled to be a part of this growing brand and looking forward to continuing my career with the team at M2F.

I really enjoy sharing with you all everything that I’m working on, new projects and promotions, and of course all the clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc that I’m a fan of. I have to say this opportunity in my career is the most exciting one yet. About the Collection:

This new collection is inspired by 90′s minimalism. You can see that Reiss references the clean lines from past Calvin Klein campaigns, and the sex appeal and cut of vintage Jean Paul Gaultier. Although, you will see hints of the 40′s and 70′s throughout the collection as well.

This collection plays with proportions, while keeping the clean lines of the 90s silhouettes to feel fresh and modern. Layering separate items in new lengths creates a distinct softness and portrays a ‘new way of dressing,’ which is both feminine and wearable. Trends you will notice this spring and are seen in this collection are chunky stitches, pastel tones and soft neutrals, and a introduction to bright floral prints.

Victoria Beckham ~ Happy to be Staying in L.A.

David Beckham announced last week that he had turned down the offer to play for Paris stating “family reasons”. This week Victoria Beckham said that she is also relieved to be staying in L.A.

Victoria has the best of both by living in L.A, enjoying the lifestyle, and being able to travel to London and NYC for business. Her boys are so settled in L.A., so it wouldn’t be fair to move them at this point. I think L.A. has been really growing on her. She seems way more relaxed and just really loving life. I’m excited for the debut of her new collection Victoria by Victoria Beckham this year, which will be released this spring. But until Fashion Week begins here’s some of my favorite recent pictures of Victoria from 2011. Can’t wait to see more of Victoria in 2012!

Wolford Luxury Hosiery Opening at The Shops at North Bridge

I think we can all agree that The Shops of North Bridge has been adding some amazing stores in the last year or so from Charming Charlie to Kiehl’s Since 1851 to Vosges Haut-Chocolat. On Friday yet another great store will be opening at The Shops of North Bridge on Michigan Ave.

Wolford known for their luxury hosiery will opening this Friday and will include their entire collection of leg-wear, body-wear, lingerie, and swimwear. I’m sure the boutique will be stunning as well. It’s the perfect time of year for a store like this to open and I’m really into different patterned tights, especially luxurious ones! These fun patterned tights are such a great trend this year and I need to stock up on more, so I will definitely have to go over on Friday to take a peek.
