Chicago Welcomes ZARA to Michigan Avenue

The first time I heard that ZARA was coming to Michigan Avenue was about a year ago. I was really excited to hear this Spanish chain was coming to Chicago and I had heard nothing but great things about this store. Since it opened its doors to the public on Friday I made sure that Saturday morning I would be one of the first to walk in, beat the crowds so I could have a good look around.

ZARA on Michigan Ave is actually it’s largest US store covering three huge floors. What I loved most about ZARA is the vibe when you walk in the door, it’s very elegant and set up almost boutique-like apart from its size.

Fabulous  accessories are placed around the store that included gorgeous tote bags (for around $200) in beautiful colors and I saw a bag in what looked like snake skin (not real snake skin though, I think). The shoes were priced well around $100 but were not designed for Chicago winters, I saw a lot of peep toes, and suede. I also really loved the jackets, very stylish and had lots of variety. I really enjoyed the cashmere sweaters and long cardigans, cute to pair with their skirt, leggings, and boots. The overall appearance of the store and merchandise was very chic and classy.

ZARA is know to have sales similar to that of Express so remember to keep an eye on those items you loved in the store and grab them later at up to 30% or 40% off. I have also found out that ZARA will soon have a online store so you can shop whenever and wherever. In case you didn’t know ZARA also has a great men’s and children’s section as well.
